Julia Fehr of West Bend-Mallard would earn a first place finish for the Wolverines at the Estherville Cross Country Invitational on Thursday, Oct. 1. Fehr finished in 22:13.
Along with the Wolverines, harriers from Emmetsburg and Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire also competed in Estherville. The Emmetsburg varsity girls would earn a third place overall finish with an average running time of 24:12. The E-Hawk girls would be led by Izzy Householder, earning fourth place in 22:34. and Isabel Doyle, with a 22:58 finish.
The Wolverine varsity girls earned seventh place overall with an average running time of 28:02.
The Emmetsburg varsity boys would take sixth place overall with an average time of 20:49. Fabian Bowman would earn 18th place in 19:30, while Isaac Janssen would finish in 19:40 for 22nd place.
The Titan boys would finish eighth overall led by Aiden Egertson at 34th place with a time of 21:13.
Runners from West Bend-Mallard would also compete, with Damon Fehr and Nolan Ford earning 31st and 32nd place respectively for the Wolverines.
Area harriers competed in Pocahontas on Saturday, with places and times to be listed in Thursday's The Democrat.
