Graveside service for Pauline Loring will be held Friday, June 24, at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Emmetsburg. The Rev. Bill Schreiber, Holy Family Catholic Church in Emmetsburg, will officiate.
Inurnment will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Emmetsburg. The Martin-Mattice Funeral Home, Emmetsburg, is in charge of arrangements.
Pauline Marcella Loring, daughter of Jacob and Ursla (Wiwi) Loring, was born March 3, 1928 in Illinois. She began her education in country school and completed 8th grade. She then attended Emmetsburg Community School, graduating from Emmetsburg High School.
Following high school, Pauline was a telephone operator for many years. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Emmetsburg.
Pauline passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg, at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Ursla Loring; three brothers, Ed Loring, Ray Loring, and James Loring; and three sisters, Rita Goeders, Margert Onken, and Annabelle Walker.
She is survived by two brothers, Frank Loring and Larry Loring; and two sisters, Alberta Spurling and Liz Reinders; as well as many relatives and friends.
