Young Lady E-Hawk Golfers Continue to Show Improvement


The Lady E-Hawks would showcase their continued season improvement last week, finishing out the week with meets at Gowrie on Thursday and Spencer on Saturday.

Quad at Gowrie

The Emmetsburg girls would place second overall at the Gowrie Municipal Golf Course Thursday, posting a team score of 233. Southeast Valley would earn the top spot with 214, while South Central Calhoun would take third with 236 and GTRA fourth with 252.

Leading the Lady E-Hawks was Sierra Wolff, carding a score of 52 for a second place finish on the day. GTRA's Josi Reiman would place third a stroke behind Wolff with 53, while Emmetsburg teammate Kourtney Kogel would earn a sixth place finish, posting a score of 57.

Spencer Invitational

On Saturday, the Lady E-Hawks would head to the Spencer Golf & Country Club to compete in the Spencer Invitational. The Emmetsburg girls would finish the day in third place.

Sierra Wolff would once again take second place overall with a combined total of 107, while teammate Claire Kassel would earn sixth place, posting a score of 113. Kourtney Kogel and Emma Westfall would round out the top 10, with Kogel placing ninth with 126 and Westfall 10th with a score of 157.

Girls golf regionals are set for Monday, May 17 at Clarmond Country Club in Clarion.
