Dale Backstrom of Slater, Iowa, passed away March 29, 2023, at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, Iowa. A committal service will be held at a later date at Rush Lake Cemetery near Curlew, Iowa. He is survived by his children, Michael Backstrom, Samantha Nellist, Jesse Backstrom, Bailey Backstrom and his mother, Delores Shimon of Emmetsburg.
