Ella Mae Schuller, 97 of Emmetsburg formerly Mallard, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Palo Alto County Health System in Emmetsburg. Visitation was on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Lentz Funeral Home in Mallard. Mass of Christian Burial was 2:00 PM Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Emmetsburg. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Mallard at a later date.
Ella Mae Schneider, the daughter of Elmer and Clara (Laubenthal) Schneider, was born on May 1, 1927, in West Bend. She graduated from Rodman High School in 1944. On November 27, 1945, Ella Mae was united in marriage with Clarence Schuller at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in West Bend. Ella Mae had worked at Strathman Studios in Emmetsburg. She was a member of Christian Mothers and Emmetsburg Hospital Auxiliary. Ella Mae enjoyed Bridge Club, Golf, playing BINGO and cooking. She was a wonderful seamstress and sewed all of her life. Some of her fondest memories were playing in the State Basketball tournament her senior year and getting to dance with Lawrence Welk.
Left to cherish Ella Mae’s memory are her children, Diane (Dave) Goodwin of Carmel, IN and Jerry (Janell) Schuller of Forks, WA; grandchildren, Conlon (Madi) Schuller, Ryan Schuller, Tom Lincoln (Cheline), Todd (Sandi) Lincoln, Tracy (Bob) Patten, Amy (Molly) McKeown and Michael Kelly; 10 - great grandchildren and 1 - great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; children, Judy Howard, Richard, Galen and Gary Siblings Shirley Tatman, Jerry, James and Alvin Schneider.
