In later years Jane volunteered in the elementary school, through the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, reading to children needing that “little extra”.
Jane was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Mallard where she was active in Church Circle. Jane loved spending time in the quilting sessions. After moving to Emmetsburg Jane was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Emmetsburg.
