Funeral services for Paul Grage of Rockwell City will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Martin-Mattice Funeral Home in Emmetsburg, Iowa. Visitation will be held before the service.
Paul Alan Grage, son of Rolland and Mary (Christensen) Grage, was born May 25, 1974 in Emmetsburg, Iowa. He received his education in Emmetsburg, graduating from Emmetsburg High School in 1993. Following his graduation, Paul attended Iowa Lakes Community College, receiving his degree in Farm Mechanics in 1998.
Paul worked for the Department of Corrections for twenty four years.
He enjoyed swimming, listening to classic rock music and watching movies. He was a fan of Honda Gold Wing motorcycles and had a great interest in farm equipment, especially International Harvesters.
Paul passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024 at his home in Rockwell City, Iowa, at the age of 49. He was preceded in death by his father, Rolland Grage; a sister, Cheryl Barkve and his former wife, Carol.
He is survived by his three daughters, Elizabeth Grage of Belle Plaine, Iowa, Deianeira Grage of Iowa City, Iowa and Arieanna Grage of Iowa City, Iowa; his grandchildren, Alivia Griffel, Trenton Griffel and Journi Grage; his mother, Mary Grage of Lake City, Iowa; his sister, Karen Soenen and her husband, Ken of Rockwell City, Iowa; his brother, Butch Grage and his wife, Helen of Perry, Iowa; brother-in-law, Gary Barkve; a niece, Ann Zehner and her husband, Dave of Spring Hill, Tennessee; nephews, John Soenen and his wife, Beth of Tiffin, Iowa, Matt Soenen and his wife, Nicole of Rockwell City, Iowa, and Will Grage of Perry, Iowa; great nephews, Jackson, Parker, Ryan, Carter and Miles; as well as other relatives and many friends.
